The Preschool Department at the church made a lovely presentation for Father's Day. That Director they have is really special, let me tell you!
Back in August, I posted a blog entry in which I mentioned waking up feeling more exhausted than when I went to bed. That situation hasn't really changed in these two months and so I finally called my doctor. I'll be visiting a specialist on Monday to begin an evaluation for sleep apnea - a condition my father developed when he was about my age.
Correction: my appointment is actually for Monday, October 30.
I woke up this morning feeling more exhausted than I was when I went to bed. After alternately sleeping through and snoozing the alarm for almost half an hour, I finally became conscious of Julie gently touching me on the arm. I lay there groggily for what seemed like a long, long time and finally got enough energy to bridge a few synapses and make a profound statement:
* grunt *
"He gives power to those who are tired and worn out; He offers strength to the weak. Isaiah 40:29
Things are getting better, one step at a time.
