Julie once said that I'm the most middle-of-the-road person she knows.  Now, she has confirmation.  I discovered The World's Smallest Political Quiz this morning.  In way less than five minutes, I had the results – Personal Issues: 60% liberty, Economic Issues: 40% liberty, classification: Centrist.  Uh-oh.  Nobody tell Rush.

I finally got the photos of my motorcycle taken and got them up on the site.  I have an offer on the bike at the moment, but if that falls through I'll post the availability here and on the page with the photos.

I'm sure you've heard the phrase, "There's two sides to every story."  I've found that usually there's way more than just two.  I recently stumbled across an exclusive interview by British journalist Johann Hari with Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez that drove that point home.

It's no real secret that I consider sleep to be a complete waste of time and one of the more regrettable facts of life.  I suspect that it was one of the consequences of Adam and Eve getting a hankering for apple pie, but the Bible is silent on that point.  So it was with a great deal of surprise that I found this article about a man who hasn't slept in 30 years.  Yes, you read that right.  Thai Ngoc is 64 years old, in perfect health, and hasn't slept a wink since he got a fever back in 1973.  I'm jealous - and wondering if someone would give me a good, strong case of the flu.

Update: OK, so if I can't just do away with sleep altogether, maybe I can do the next best thing.  I'll think about it.

I upgraded the software that powers this site and now the photos have disappeared. I'll get it fixed as soon as I can.
